As a member of a BCC accredited or affiliated Chamber of Commerce which subscribes to Chamber Legal Expenses you can rest assured that your business is covered by a comprehensive Legal Expenses Insurance policy.
For complete peace of mind members have the ability to increase their cover even further by purchasing the Chamber Legal Expenses Enhanced Cover.
What’s included?
Contractual Disputes
Legal costs and expenses relating to a business pursuing or defending its legal rights as a result of a contract entered into by the business for the purchase, hire or sale of goods and services.
Debt Recovery
Legal costs and expenses incurred by the business in respect of money and interest due from another business for the provision of goods and/or services, professional fees and dishonoured cheques.
Restrictive Covenants
Legal costs and expenses incurred as a result of pursuing a claim against an employee or ex-employee who is in breach of a Restrictive Covenant included in their contract of employment.
Excess Waiver
By purchasing the Enhanced Cover you will also benefit from the excess included in the main Chamber Legal Expenses policy being waived. Please note excesses of £250 for Contractual Disputes and £150 for Debt Recovery still apply.
£100,000 Indemnity Option
You also have the option to increase your limit if indemnity for each area of cover from the standard £65,000 to £100,000.

How much does it cost ?
The British Chambers of Commerce have negotiated preferential rates for Chamber members to take out this essential cover. Dependant on the number of employees the premiums are as follows.

How to purchase

Once we have received and processed your order we will email your policy documents directly to you. If you have decided to pay by cheque payment is due within 14 days or cover will lapse.
Important Notice
The Enhanced Cover endorses the cover you already benefit from as a member of your Chamber of Commerce. If your Chamber membership lapses then this will also result in your Enhanced Cover no longer being valid.
Likewise if your Chamber of Commerce decides to no longer subscribe to Chamber Legal Expenses then we will notify you of such following which you will be entitled to a pro rata refund of the premium you have paid.
As with all Legal Expenses Insurance policies you will not be covered retrospectively where it is evident an event that gave rise to a dispute occurred before the inception of the policy and/or endorsement.
