Composite's 'Good News' Initiative for Brokers

Composite Legal Expenses has launched a pilot initiative to help brokers develop their
Commercial business. Starting in June, Composite will underwrite the cost of selling
commercial legal expenses on behalf of 50 selected brokers to 20 each of the brokers'
commercial clients. Each client will receive a free 24/7 legal advice help-line service, plus
active up-selling of full legal expenses protection.

Each participating broker is guaranteed a minimum £100 - commission is paid on new
business and renewals.

So, why do businesses need commercial legal expenses? With laws, statutes and
regulations becoming evermore complex and court awards and non-compliance penalties
increasing daily, legal expenses insurance should be a must on any business shopping list.
In 2002 there were 140,000 applications for employment tribunals alone, with average
court awards of, for example, £19,279 (Sex Discrimination), £23,365 (Disability) and
£5,917 (Unfair Dismissal).

Why sell commercial legal expenses on the broker's behalf? Composite knows that a broker's
