Federation of Employed Door Supervisors and Security Legal Expenses Insurance Scheme launched!
Federation of Employed Door Supervisors and Security

With new regulation for the security industry effective November this year,
Bespoke International and Composite Legal Expenses have created a Legal
Expenses Scheme for the Federation of Employed Door Supervisors and
Security (FEDs).

FEDs is a trades union and to be a member all individual door supervisors must
also be a member of the Security Industry Association (SIA) which has been
created to set, monitor and maintain standards and controls to ensure quality
and professionalism is all aspects of the UK security industry.

Composite are the provider of the legal expenses insurance which covers legal
fees incurred in defending any criminal prosecutions as well as those incurred in
connection with employment rights/disputes for the individual door supervisors.

Commenting on the Scheme, Composite’s Managing Director, John Mullin says:

”With enhanced regulation for the security industry coming into effect, particularly for door
supervisors, the timing is absolutely right for the introduction of a scheme like this, as even
responsible security staff can find themselves in a difficult situation where they would benefit from
legal representation and advice paid for by their legal expenses insurance.”
